Definition: Disregard on purpose.
Synonyms: Giving the the cold shoulder, not give the time of day, brush off, take no notice, turn a deaf ear.
She was ignoring me today.
I hate being ignored. It just pisses me off. Its the worst feeling quite frankly. Its the total disregard of your attempts to talk to the person. Its rude and annoying and is my pet peeve ( that is such a weird saying "pet peeve"). Its just like "Oh...Ok...Just ignore even though I'm trying to be
your friend by talking to you and wanting to solve the problem."
1: Ignoring someone doesn't solve any problems.
Why? Well in order to solve your problems you ACTUALLY HAVE TO TALK TO THE OTHER PERSON
I CANT READ YOUR MIND IF YOU ARE UPSET OR MAD OR SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO TELL ME WHY SO I CAN FIX IT JESUS CHRIST ITS THAT SIMPLE
HONESTLY IT TAKES A LOT OF COURAGE TO GO UP TO SOMEONE YOU KNOW WHO IS MAD AT YOU
YOU DONT KNOW IF THEY WILL EXPLODE OR CRY OR WHAT BUT BEING BLATANTLY IGNORED HURTS THE MOST
WHEN YOUR IGNORED IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WERENT EVEN WORTH THEIR TIME OF DAY AND THAT JUST SUCKS
Sorry for yelling I'm really mad right now.
Anywho...
2. It just makes the other person mad too so when you want to actually talk to them they will just give you a taste of your own medicine. This is the kind of medicine that you always dreaded taking as a child because it sure as hell doesn't taste like cherries and it burns on the way down. This is the medicine I'm talking about.
3. And it just hurts. It really hurts.
I hate when a person ignores you for awhile and then they just start talking to you again.
They just pretend nothing happened and that they didnt completely diregard you for a whole week.
If you do that to me, don't expect me to just go along with it. If i were to do the same thing to you you would be PISSED. So um yeah, right. We need to talk about why you felt the need to ignore me before we become 'cool' again. For lack of a better term.
Lesson of the day: Don't ignore the problem. It doesn't solve anything.
